It depends on your university, but speaking generally from my own experience, it's completely possible. I take 16-18 credits each term at my university with 3 terms per year. But again, it's better to check with your university first.

If you take about 16=17 credits a semester, yes. But some of your courses themselves might not be offered during the appropriate time so it will most likely take 3 years. Particulary if you are doing a natural science and will need a full year of thesis work.

At my school most people take about 15 hours a semester, but some take 18 if they really need to cram in some classes. You could take two semesters with 15 hours and three semesters with 18 hours. That really would be a lot of work, but people do it. Don't forget you can always take summer classes so you don't have to take as many hours in the fall/spring.
