The following list of articles about air purifiers and air cleaners are provided by CleanAir4Life to help you understand the benefits and advantages provided by these air purification products and how cleaner air can help you live a healthier lifestyle.

You've heard that indoor air pollution can be a significant health concern. In fact, the EPA has said that air quality inside American homes and offices can be two to five times worse than outside. If you spend a lot of time indoors, you need to consider taking control over the air entering your lungs. And if you suffer from allergies, asthma, or other respiratory problems or if you just want extra insurance against colds and flu, breathing cleaner air is even more critical. But choosing the right product can be confusing and intimidating.
Keep in mind that there is a difference between cleaners and purifiers. Cleaners generally involve a series of filters that captures particulates-including dust, dander, pollen, microorganisms and other airborne debris-from the air that circulates through the unit. Purifiers utilize a variety of technologies to destroy microorganisms, chemicals, odors and other contaminants, often at the molecular level.

Depending on the unique conditions in your home or office or your particular medical requirements, you may require one or more of the following common technologies. Keep in mind that many of these technologies are complementary-the strengths of one may make up for the weaknesses of another.
Air cleaners represent the most effective tools for purifying the air of small to medium-sized living spaces. Designed to remove harmful particulate matter and gaseous pollutants that are byproducts of household appliances such as stoves and fireplaces, air cleaners come in a large variety of makes and models. Whether built into the HVAC system or portable units that can be moved from room to room, air cleaners are credited with relieving symptoms for asthma and allergy sufferers.

If you are having difficulty determining which air purifier or air cleaner is right for you we suggest viewing our air purifier and air cleaner Comparison Chart. Our chart compares products, product features, most effective applications for each product and prices all in one location.

Question by Scarlett: Does AXA Whole Life Insurance credit back 4% of the 5% interest rate of the loan amount borrowed from policy? My AXA Life Insurance agent says borrowing from my policy is better than cashing out because they credit the back most of the 5% interest rate. The available loan is $ 13,500.00 at 5%, but the surrender value is $ 15,000.00 as stated in the policy. I need the money for a down payment on a home and 1% is a great interest rate, but I've never heard of crediting 4% back to the policy...have you? Best answer for Does AXA Whole Life Insurance credit back 4% of the 5% interest rate of the loan amount borrowed from policy?:

Answer by mbrcatz
No, they don't credit you back - have him put it in writing, or show you the part of the policy that says that. Bet he can't. And the INTEREST You pay, when you borrow your own money, belongs to the insurance company. What you're doing, effectively, when you run the math, is putting $ 10,000 a year into the insurance company's bank account, taking OUT $ 1,000 a year of what you've put in, and ALSO paying interest on what you take out!! Worse, if/when you die, the part of your own money you borrowed, PLUS the interest, gets SUBTRACTED from the death payout amount!! This is why so many people say whole life insurance is a ripoff.

Sorta kinda. You still pay the entire 5% interest and if you don't at least pay the 5% interest then the loan will continue to grow. But, if you pay the 5% interest, then the policy will continue to grow as described in the policy. That's how most whole life policies would work. But, if it's a universal life, then it would work more or less as described by the agent. Universal life policies credit the interest on a spread. My policy has a 1/2% loan provision. You have to read the policy and maybe call the company to get clarification on how it exactly works. But, the agent is correct in saying that even if they're charging you 5% that you're not, in effect, paying 5%. BUT, the real question is why did you buy the policy in the first place and what has changed that you were considering canceling? I'm assuming you bought a whole life policy because you wanted insurance for your....whole life. So, have you changed your mind? While I would probably never buy a whole life policy because of the high, up-front costs. You're already beyond those high, up-front costs. And, anyone that says to cancel the policy because it's a rip off doesn't understand that, even if they are correct, that you've already been "ripped off." So, the fact that your original decision to buy it may be flawed, you still need to exam from here forward and not make another hasty decision that you'll later regret. Ask a trusted financial advisor and hopefully your financial advisor doesn't have an AXA logo on his/her business card. Because, then you have to wonder how in a world with hundreds of options that the best option for you just so happened to be the same company your advisor worked for. A life insurance broker would have searched many companies first.
