Question by collegechick: I was asked for credit score, is that real? I am pretty skeptic about this, but this is the email i received posting was on craigslist for a receptionist in a lasik eye care center, the posting listed hours mon-fri 9am-4:30, and the duties and the pay, all the asked for was a confirmation # that i got my score and they would set up the interview and to bring report to interview, also noted to contact him for more info. company website didn't work, so I don't know. Great news! Weâve reviewed hundreds of applications and weâd like for you to come in for an interview. Please follow instructions carefully, as we go through our companyâs process for hiring employees. We take our clientâs privacy and safety very seriously, and we are REQUIRED to run credit and background checks during our hiring process. While the background check can be done during the interview, we use the credit check to filter out semi-serious interviewees. Click here to get your credit report, free of charge. Of course, we will not ask you to transmit ANY personal information over email. Just send us the verification number so that we can confirm that you got your credit check, and make sure to bring the credit report to the interview. Donât worryâ"your credit score will not affect your eligibility. Thatâs it! E-mail us the verification number, and we can set you up for an interview immediately. If you have any questions about the process, feel free to ask. --- Christian Howe, Staff Manager Drake Lasik Inc. www.drakelasik.com Thanks for your input the acutual site for the credit report was a real one that offers the free 7 day trial(all 3 credit score companies), I called them, but I'm not so sure about the job...ugh...i'll just leave it alone Yes, I googled the company too and I didn't send them anything. There is no job. The site will take all your personal infomation and steal your identity. Any real job will check your reports on their own. This scam has been going around for too long now. /

CRIME ALERT! CRIME ALERT!

Indeed, it does sound suspicious. Employers I do believe will run a credit check on you. At least some do. Why don't you call them and ask them why they want you to bring your credit score to the interview. Tell them that if they want your credit score, they should run the credit check themselves. I believe that is what I would do. It might be an attempt to download a virus to your computer when you access the site they have given you. Did you apply for a job there?

Craigslist + credit report/score = scam. There is no job. They are phishing for your personal info. Legitimate employers do not ask you to provide copies of credit reports or your score. They do their own credit checks and only for people they will be offering the position to. They don't do checks on every applicant.

Scam. They will take your information. Never respond to these types of things, Nigerian investments, etc.

It's a scam....Here is a warning from Craigslist: SCAM ALERT - affiliate scammers are posting bogus ads promising (nonexistent!) employment, paid research trials, or other compensation, but then notifying repliers that they'll need to jump through a hoop first, directing them to credit checking or reporting sites, all in hopes of earning affiliate marketing commissions or otherwise profiting at the expense of persons seeking employment.

As everyone else said, it's clearly a scam. To add to their comments, I tried to google "Drake Lasik", the supposed employer, and there's no such company. UPDATE Don't get your credit report from them. You can get it safely and for free from the website recommended by the US Federal Trade Commission: http://www.annualcreditreport.com

I got this same email also! I'm curious are you in the Portland, Or area? I'm wondering if people from all over the US are getting this email or if this is only in Portland. I'm not emailing him anything!

Pretty sure this is another scam to get you to enter personal information into the 'free credit report' site. I got an email just like this from Heineken USA - I went to their website and they had a Warning posted in big red letters that these emails are complete scams. Don't even reply to it. You can read the warning for yourself at www.heinekenusa.com. Just scroll down a little on the page after you enter your location and DOB, and you will see it on the left. The people sending these emails to unemployed folks are just vultures!

Psychic Center is among the oldest online psychic websites on the internet today. This psychic network is composed of thousands of psychics that you can access any time of the day and in any part of the world. This may seem great because you have a lot of psychics to choose from, yet it can be a bit confusing if you truly want to get the best out of the group.
One downside of this psychic network is the fact that they don't screen well their mediums and psychics. If you feel you have such gift, you are free to join the network and start posting your rates. Though this might be great since there will be a lot to choose from, this becomes easily penetrated by fake psychics who just want to get the money of other people without rendering genuine psychic services.
However, if you visit the official website of the network, you will notice that they compose a little bit of everything.
Furthermore, we can't predict what the Psychic Center specials will be in one day since it always varies. Their current promotions are likewise similar to other psychic websites. They likewise offer a free five-minute reading for you to determine the validity of the reading that psychic reader is giving you. This is very helpful especially if you want to determine the best psychic reader from the network without spending too much.
Generally, Psychic Center Network is a good place to go if you want a reading especially with the fact that they offer free five-minute rate. However, if you want the best services, you may need to choose other options out there. If you want to get accurate answers to your problems regarding your love life, career, family and the future, you surely don't want to consult fake and unscreened psychics. There are still other psychic networks that have proven the abilities of their psychic readers, that have great and reasonable rates that you could consult with rather than choosing Psychic Center Network.
