Business Credit Card Applications [creditdiagnosis]

Question by marcus R: How do I fax in copy of an application for business credit if they ask for my SSN and not my FEIN?? I was told to apply for a credit card from staples and fax a phone bill in the business name, and the application on my business letterhead. What does this all mean? The Staples business credit form will accept either the EIN or the SSN. If they are asking for other documentation, it's to to show that you are who you say you are.

If you're thinking about starting up a new business, that's great! You're going to want to get your business plan running, and if you don't have enough money, you're going to want to get a line of credit as well. Just like a personal credit card, you're not going to want to spend more than what you can afford, because you're just looking for disaster!

So, if you're looking to apply for a business credit card, I'm going to show you what you should look out for, when you're looking for the perfect small business credit card.

Look at the rewards - The main thing that I look for when it comes to business credit are the rewards. Since I don't spend that much and I love getting something for what I spend, I love getting rewarded for using my card. I'll exchange my points for things such as airline tickets, hotels, and gift cards. It's well worth it.

The fees - If you're going to use this card a lot, you're going to want to find a card that has no fees.

A card with higher fees may be worth it if you use it a lot, but when I say use it a lot, I'm talking six figures a year. Those reward based cards are great, but can hurt you in the fee department. I recommend a fee-free card, but it's up to you.

When it comes to applying, this is all I recommend. I know it sounds simple, but that's about it. There are cards out there. Go out there, and apply to see what you can get!
